Why Grooves?

Connection

The design uses a tongue-and-groove joint between the curved parts.

Avoid This Orientation

The curved underside makes this print direction unreliable.

Support-Heavy Option

Rotating the parts helps the curve, but the tongue still needs support.

Recommended Print

Print grooves on both parts, then use a separate tongue insert sized to both groove depths.

Why Continuous?

Inset and outset details create overhangs, so these areas need support material.
